I am confident that this holiday season has been a very blessed time for your family, with all the Christmas events and fellowship  both  at church and at home.  It was unusually eventful for our family this year, and somewhat reminded me of a super fast roller coaster ride, with its breathtaking ups and downs, surges of energy and panic, and the opportunity to tell all about it after it’s over!  We had the privilege this Christmas of having a large number of our family members from out of town  with us for several days, and what a time we had! Continuing to look at hedges that should be in place in our lives, we notice one of our most powerful allies or enemies in a relationship are memories. As a relationship extends in years it becomes more important what memories we take with us because they soon become part of the fabric of the relationship. Good memories help us make it through the difficult times that will inevitably come.

Our T3 Youth Conference is exactly one month away! Last year at T3, more than four hundred teens registered for the conference and we had nearly five hundred in each of the evening services. T3 is both the name for our conference, as well as its purpose statement. The three Ts stand for: Truth from yesterday, Testimony for today, and Training for tomorrow.

Truth from yesterday. That Truth is none other than the Word of God. It’s the Guidebook we’ve always had that serves both as a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. The primary focus of this conference and the reason we can have it is all thanks to God’s Word.

I don’t know about you, but I am still rejoicing in the blessings God showered upon us during our Harvest Month!  October was truly a wonderful month, and every event and activity produced results that will last for eternity.  Paul reminds us in I Corinthians 3:9 that “we are labourers together with God,” and it was a great joy to see our church family working together to further His Kingdom through long hours given to His cause.  The stage was certainly set for our month  with the presentation of April Morning, an outstanding production by our Drama Team.  Under the leadership of Keith Rash, this drama clearly presented the Gospel, and the evening was culminated with the salvation of nine precious souls!  We had a tremendous attendance at both the Saturday and Sunday evening presentations, and in addition to the results the nights of the performance, we were blessed with the presence of a number of prospects for our church.  We praise God for His enabling of the cast and crew to produce such a powerful drama. Este 17 y 24 de Octubre tuvimos la oportunidad de celebrar un año más el “Día del Amigo y el Festival del Otoño”, el cual fue todo un éxito gracias a Dios. Fue una gran bendición el poder ver a todas las familias de nuestra Iglesia orar, trabajar, invertir, servir y todo lo que se tomó para traer a un amigo en este día especial.

Gracias a Dios tuvimos resultados muy por encima de nuestras limitadas expectativas. ¡Servimos a un Gran Dios! Durante el servicio de la mañana pudimos ver el gran número de decisiones para salvación y muchas otras familias interesadas en la membrecía a esta Iglesia.

Siempre es refrescante encontrar en este mundo tan lleno de distracciones y ocupaciones a un amigo que tome de lo suyo propio (personal) para extenderse más allá de sus límites o habilidades para ser de bendición a otra persona. Sin ir muy lejos, éste siempre ha sido un distintivo que ha caracterizado al mundo Cristiano a través de los tiempos.  ¡Gracias a Dios por esos amigos que se preocupan por uno! Read more…
